Allison Rose
ADVISOR
Allison Rose has been coming to the big island for over 10 years with her family. Her husband, Dan Rose and three kids, now ages 20, 19 and 15, will tell you that the Big Island feels like home to them.
After she and her family became home owners in Kiholo bay, they decided to move from the Bay Area to the big island so they could be a daily part of the Kiholo community. Helping to support, preserve, and protect Kiholo Bay has become a true passion for her. She enjoys cleaning and restoring the alkaline ponds that surround the area, participating in Kiholo community activities and bee keeping!
Philanthropy and community are some of her top priorities. Along with being an advocate and advisor to the Aloha Kiholo Hui, she has served on the board of San Francisco’s Asian Art Museum, FoodCorps of America and Kukio Golf and Beach Club. She has also been an advisor to the Mala’ai Garden in Waimea.
Over the last 6 years she championed some of the Bay Area’s and Hawaii’s most innovative restaurants and culinary enterprises, including Protégé, Kuleana Rum Shack, Good Eggs, Liholiho Yacht Club, and Che Fico, which was recently named as one of Bon Appetite’s 10 Best New Restaurants of 2018. With both intuition and an entrepreneurial drive, she enjoys becoming a true partner to the chefs she supports, walking them through the entire launch process start to finish, from finding the perfect location and interior designers, to introducing them to other potential investors.
She is thrilled to call Kiholo home and feels fortunate to be connected to such a vital community.
