Wendi Pa`ahana Roehrig

In 1980, Wendi’s husband, Christopher (Kit) John Imiloa Roehrig was gifted access to Kīholo from his work connections. Their family holds a multitude of fond memories from the twelve years they were so privileged to spend there. It was and will always be a special place, a pu`uhonua (refuge) away from the humdrum of life providing peace and solitude. Their entire family feel they owe Kīholo and strive to give back however they are able.

Wendi retired from Parker School in Waimea after teaching for 30 years in 2008 and is a kumu hula for Hālau Ka `Ōpu`u.
