Kīholo is home to the waʻa program Nā Peʻa, which brings together youth and 4man opelu sailing canoes to inspire leadership, teamwork, and the transmission of traditional cultural practices. The program is now taking applications!

How To Apply

The target group for the Nā Pe'a program at the entry level is Middle School students living in the Kona area.

Prior sailing or canoe experience is not required. Being able to swim is highly favored.

Nā Pe'a Crew Member Slots are limited therefore we are asking you to complete the on-line Application Form so we may learn more about you as a person and what your commitment might be to the program.

All applications must be received by April 1, 2020
